Ares, god of war… now in tug format!

Adria-Tow’s newest 75 T bollard pull tugboat was christened at the end of last week at the Port of Koper (Slovenia).
This innovative tug, built by Armon Shipyards in Vigo (Spain), is equipped with Voith Schneider propellers and two responsive ABC 12DZC medium-speed engines, each delivering a reliable 2500 kW of power.
Additionally, the tug is design ready to be equipped with exhaust after-treatment technology for IMO Tier 3 compliance and holds a soot reduction emission technique.
ABC extends its gratitude to Ocean SRL, Adria-Tow and the city of Koper for their trust and wishes the crew of the Ares a safe and successful journey!
