ABC maximises roof capacity with 3,500 solar panels

03 Jul 2023

Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) recently invested in additional solar panels at its site in Ghent, reaching the maximum PV capacity on the roofs of the 9 production halls. Thanks to this additional investment, ABC is now completely self-sufficient for electricity on sunny days!

At ABC, we are committed to minimizing our energy consumption and carbon footprint. Our CNC machines operate round the clock to produce parts to keep the assembly lines running smoothly. The majority of electricity consumption occurs on weekdays between 6am and 4pm.
Solar panels now provide power to our extensive machinery, and where possible, our test facilities and cooling systems also operate on solar energy.

Big, strong, reliable, efficient... these are just some of the features of our heavy-duty engines. Thanks to more than 3,500 solar panels and a peak power capacity of 1.5 MW (or 1,500,000 watts), ABC can now generate up to 100% of the required energy for producing our sustainable combustion engines, especially during favourable weather conditions.
