New polar cruise ship Scenic Eclipse II leaves Croatia for maiden voyage to Lisbon

After less than eight months from the launching in June 2022, the new polar cruise ship of Scenic group, m/v Scenic Eclipse II has sailed away, from shipyard 3.maj in Rijeka on April 6th 2023, for her maiden voyage to Lisbon, Portugal, where it will welcome its first passengers.

The newest ship in the fleet of the world's leading company for luxury cruises, the Scenic Group, was entirely built in Croatia. Her construction was managed by the Croatian MKM Yachts, a subsidiary of the Australian corporation Scenic.

The guests at the ceremony were addressed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Andrej Plenković, and by the owner of Scenic Group, Mr. Glen Moroney, while the ceremony was also be attended by the minister of economy and sustainable development, Mr. Davor Filipovic, Mr. Saša Čokljat, the director of MKM Yachts and other respected guests and partners.

This superyacht, built by MKM Yachts, is equipped with four (4) sustainable ABC 16DZC engines.

The Scenic Eclipse II is 168m long and 21.5m wide, is equipped with 114 designer cabins and can accommodate up to 237 passengers with 200 crew members at their disposal.
