First Strategic Committee of the EPR2 Project at ABC

This significant event provided an opportunity to share the first feedback, align the partners' objectives for the next six months, and strengthen the collaborative dynamic between teams fully committed to this large-scale project.

Representatives from EDF-EDVANCE also had the chance to visit ABC’s industrial facilities, gaining a better understanding of the strategic integration of the Ogepar Group entities in engine production, particularly the foundries and turbocharger manufacturing. This visit also highlighted the continuous investments made in our production tools, as well as the foundations of the new 15 MW test bench, fully dedicated to the EPR2 generator sets.

This exchange underlined the passion and expertise that drive our teams, reaffirming the importance of innovation and excellence in the development of next-generation nuclear equipment.

About the Main Emergency Diesel Generators Contract
This contract involves the supply and installation of 24 main emergency diesel generator sets for six EPR2 nuclear reactors across three sites in France. This ambitious project aligns with the country's decarbonisation and energy sovereignty goals, while also meeting the standardisation and performance expectations set by EDF.

The partners in the consortium bring their respective expertise:

• Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, as the lead contractor, coordinates the studies and implementation of the equipment.
• ABC, as the engine manufacturer for the project, supplies the generator sets, along with their chassis and alternators.
• SPIE Nucléaire is responsible for the ventilation, piping, and fire safety systems.
