Repowering mainline or shunting locomotives with an ABC engine offers an interesting, alternative solution to expensive overhauling of a used engine. ABC is the ideal engine partner for operators planning a second life for their heavy-duty locomotives or dealing with the purchase of expensive and/or discontinued spare parts.

With regards to the alternator, ABC offers 2 possibilities: mounting a new alternator or re-using the existing generator by making usage of a tailormade connecting flange (intermediate part) between the engine and the alternator. Engine maintenance can be performed by the operator himself for the greater part, even with challenging maintenance staff skills. For larger maintenance and service operations, ABC relies on a solid network of partners or on the aftersales team who can be dispatched on site anywhere in the world.
