ABC’s 6DL36 medium-speed engine, with a bore x stroke of 365 mm x 420 mm, will produce 3797 kW @ 720 rpm. The low brake mean effective pressure (BMEP) of only 24 bar ensures a higher reliability and lifetime of the engine. The DL36 is compliant with IMO Tier III emission standards.

The 64 ton engine was charged and ready for transport to the Port of Antwerp. From there the engine will be shipped to Norway.

The 6DL36-engine will power the fishing vessel "Vikingbank". The 65 m fishing vessel, designed by Norwegian naval architect Salt Ship Design, will be built at Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted AS and is set to be commissioned in Q3 of 2020.

ABC and Frydenbø Industri AS are proud to be a part of this project and look forward to a fantastic result!
