ABC's (V)DZC ultimate diesel generator (UDG) , with a nominal rotational speed of 1000 rpm, are extensively tested and subjected to nuclear regulations and endurance tests. They have completed the most stringent qualification tests for nuclear, post-Fukushima, applications.

These back-up generating sets are being used when all other electrical sources aren’t available for electricity distribution on site. The medium-speed gensets are capable of running several days at full charge in complete autonomy. Indeed, its operation is fully automated without any intervention of an operator.
