ABC at ITS 2026: Future-Proof Power for Tugboat Applications
ABC is pleased to confirm its participation at ITS 2026 in Gothenburg from 19 to 21 May 2026. Visit us at Booth 4034 to explore our latest propulsion solutions for the tugboat and towage industry.
Founded in 1912 and headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, ABC has over a century of experience manufacturing medium-speed engines from 600 kW to 10.5 MW. Our engines are widely recognised for their reliability, dynamic response, and robustness, making them ideal for intensive harbour operations and offshore towing, where manoeuvrability, safety, and high uptime are essential.
With a strong focus on environmental responsibility, ABC engines offer fuel flexibility and high performance, supporting operators seeking both power and sustainability. In addition to engines running on conventional and low-carbon liquid fuels such as (bio)diesel or HVO, ABC has developed a range of dual-fuel internal combustion engines capable of operating on alcoholic fuels (methanol, ethanol) and hydrogen (BeHydro). Under the BeHydro brand, we also offer zero-emission, spark-ignited engines designed to run exclusively on 100% hydrogen gas. Our solutions support system conversions to lower emissions and the integration of exhaust aftertreatment systems, ensuring compliance with IMO Tier III, EPA Tier 4, and EU Stage V requirements.
Delegates can engage directly with ABC engineers to explore tailored solutions for newbuild and repowering projects across a variety of propulsion configurations.
ABC’s presence at ITS 2026 highlights our commitment to reliable, forward-looking propulsion solutions for the global tugboat sector. Visit Booth 4034 to see how ABC combines proven engineering expertise with innovation to power the future of maritime operations.
