Reconstruction of Wiedauwkaai (N458) – Impact on Access to ABC from Monday, 5 January 2026

The Flemish Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV), responsible for the management of regional and motorways as well as cycle paths in Flanders, will reconstruct the Wiedauwkaai between the railway and the Nieuwevaart (R40). These works will affect access to ABC for visitors from 5 January until the end of September 2026.
Detour from 5 January to early September 2026
Visitors arriving at ABC by car can access the site only from the north, via Zeeschipstraat (N456) and Wiedauwkaai.
Access from the south (Gasmeterlaan, Muidelaan/Verapaz Bridge, Neuseplein) will not be possible during this period.
Detour from early September 2026
From early September until the end of September 2026, ABC will be accessible by car only from the south, via Palinghuizen (N9) and Gasmeterlaan, or via Muidelaan (Verapaz Bridge) and Neuseplein.
Access from the north (Zeeschipstraat (N456) and Wiedauwkaai) will no longer be possible.
