ABC to Unveil Latest Evolve Engine at SMM Hamburg

Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) is proud to announce the launch of the latest member of the innovative, future-proof and fuel-flexible Evolve Series at SMM Hamburg. On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, ABC will complete the Evolve engine family with the unveiling of a new V-engine at 1:00 pm at the ABC stand in Hall A3, Stand 232.
Since the introduction of the 4-cylinder Evolve concept engine in 2021, ABC has progressively expanded the E23 platform with new inline and V-engine configurations. Following the launches of the Evolve 4EL23, 20EV23, 6EL23, 8EL23 and 12EV23 at Europort Rotterdam and SMM Hamburg, the Evolve family will now be complete.
The Evolve Series was developed to meet the changing needs of the maritime sector and combines reliable engine technology with a future-proof, multi-fuel design. Thanks in part to its versatile cylinder head design, engines can be converted to run on liquid, dual-fuel and 100% gaseous fuels. This flexibility enables customers to adapt to the evolving availability of fuels, regulations and technologies.
The Evolve platform was developed around one central principle: rather than predicting which fuel will dominate the future, it provides the flexibility to adapt to it. This approach gives entrepreneurs the confidence to invest in engine technology that is designed not only for today's requirements, but also for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
Following five successful launches since 2021, ABC is now ready to unveil the latest engine in the Evolve Series and complete the range.
