ABC at Europort: The After-movie

In early November, ABC had the pleasure of unveiling its future-proof and fuel-flexible Evolve 12EV23 engine at Europort Rotterdam. This 12-cylinder medium-speed engine sets a new industry benchmark by accommodating a broad range of fuels, from eco-friendly options to zero-emission alternatives.
Building on the success of the 4EL23, 6EL23 and 8EL23 inline engines, as well as the 20-cylinder 20EV23, the new 12EV23 bridges the gap between compact efficiency and high-performance power. Designed for demanding maritime and industrial applications, it delivers up to 360 kW per cylinder, ensuring reliable operation even under the toughest conditions.
But there was more… much more! In addition to the unveiling of the 12EV23, ABC showcased, through scale models, its extensive range of fuel-flexible engines designed to operate on both conventional and alternative fuels.
With the D36 engine range (bore 365 mm), available for liquid fuels and dual-fuel methanol, ABC offers powerful, top-tier medium-speed engines of up to 10.5 MW per engine (or up to 9.6 MW in dual-fuel methanol configuration).
The DZ engine range, with a bore of 256 mm, provides power solutions of up to 4 MW per engine on liquid fuel. This range - also available in dual-fuel methanol configuration with 6- and 8-cylinder inline engines, as well as 12- and 16-cylinder V engines - covers a power spectrum from 955 kW (1,300 hp) to 3.5 MW (4,810 hp).
Under the BeHydro name, a joint venture between ABC and CMB.TECH, ABC offers dual-fuel and 100% hydrogen (zero-emission) engines. A full range of these state-of-the-art medium-speed engines is available today, covering a power band from 900 kW (1,223 hp) to 2,670 kW (3,628 hp).
